Govt takes control of 24 flour mills

SHEIKHUPURA, Aug 31: On the directive of Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, the district administration on Sunday took over 24 flour mills.

Reports said the Punjab government took the drastic step to ensure maximum supply of flour during Ramazan and curb the prevailing shortage.

On Sunday, district coordination officer Suleman Ijaz ordered taking control of 24 flour mills located in different areas.

Policemen and employees of food and revenue departments have been deployed outside the mills.

The government would supply flour from these mills to Lahore and Sheikhupura.
