BADIN, Aug 29: A large number of activists of Jamaatul Dawat wal Irshad took out a rally here on Friday to express the solidarity with Kashmiri people and in support of their struggle for independence.
The rally, led by Qari Mehmood Kashmiri, started from a mosque and ended at Shah Latif Road. Participants carried banners and raised slogans of “Kashmir Banega Pakistan.
Qari Mehmood said that the people of Kashmir enjoy the right to independence from Indian occupation. He said the Indian press was exploiting the issue and its media highlighting false and fabricated stories of protests in Kashmir being staged by Lashkar-i-Taiba and other Islamic organisation.
He said at least 8,000 Indian troops were engaged in a siege and search operation in occupied Kashmir where loot, rape and arson were common.
He demanded of the Pakistan government to adopt resolutions in the National Assembly and put pressure on the UN for implementation of its resolutions on rights of Kashmiri people.
TEACHERS SUSPENDED: Three primary school teachers were suspended and one-month salary of another teacher withheld for remaining absent from duty in Badin taluka.
Assistant District Officer (Education), Ramzan Mandhro paid a surprise visit on Friday to Ibrahim Shoro and other primary schools where teachers Gul Mohammad Brohi, Khalid Junejo, Hussain Chandio were found absent. Hence, they were suspended.
One month salary of another teacher, Sher Ali Khowaja, who was also absent was withheld.
