ISLAMABAD, Aug 28: The Zardari House is no more in the news because Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has shifted to the Prime Minister’s House for security reasons.

Sources said here on Thursday that the PPP co-chairman had been living in the Prime Minister’s House for about a week fearing a possible attack from militants because of his recent criticism of the Taliban and call for banning the organisation.

According to the sources, Mr Zardari moved to the Prime Minister’s House on the advice of his colleagues in the government.

“Mr Zardari has been advised to stay in a safe place and under the cover of official security,” said a member of the federal cabinet.

He said Mr Zardari had also been advised much earlier to move to the Prime Minister’s House but he was reluctant to do so.

However, after a security breach at his F-8 residence, Mr Zardari decided to shift to the PM’s House.

The sources said Mr Zardari planned to stay in the PM’s House till the presidential election scheduled for Sept 6.
