DCO on fertilisers’ supply

Published August 29, 2008

FAISALABAD, Aug 28: The city district government has evolved a system to sell fertilisers to farmers without any discrimination, the district coordination officer said here on Thursday.

Replying to people’s questions regarding fertilisers’ shortage at an open court at the Samundri TMA Hall, DCO Azam Suleman said agriculture and revenue department staff had been appointed to monitor the price and sale of fertilisers.

He said fertiliser dealers were also being consulted to facilitate farmers. He said profiteers and hoarders would be dealt with an iron hand.

At the open court people vent their anger at government officials and Samundri town officials. They said the town was littered with garbage. The DCO assured people their problems would be solved.

City Police Officer Mohammad Aslam Tareen was also present.
