ISLAMABAD, Aug 25: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) will start checking illegal sale of cell phones SIMs from first week of September whereas unregistered SIMs will be blocked by 31.
In a meeting here on Monday Chairman PTA Dr Muhammad Yasin said PTA zonal teams at Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi and Muzaffarabad would conduct surveys after deadline and strict action would be taken against the company in case of violation of law of selling cellular connections.
