LAHORE, Aug 25: Robbers looted cash and valuables worth over Rs3.8 million from three houses besides targeting three citizens in street crime incidents in the provincial capital on Monday.

Two robbers barged into the house of one Zareena Akhtar in Ahata Sultan in Misri Shah police precincts, looted Rs1 million in cash and national saving certificates worth Rs1.2 million and fled.

Four robbers stormed into the house of one Mrs Shaista in limits of Shadman police and took away Rs36,000 in cash, 50 tolas of gold ornaments, eight cell phones and three computers.

Two robbers entered the house of one Zafar Iqbal in jurisdiction of Batapur police and fled after looting Rs240,000 in cash and two tolas of jewellery.

Ejaz Ahmed and his wife were returning after attending a marriage ceremony when two robbers stopped them in limits of Gawalmandi police and snatched two and half tolas of gold jewellery.

Two robbers snatched from one Asma Zaman Rs400 in cash, eight tolas of gold ornaments and a cell phone in Samanabad police limits while as many robbers deprived one Basheer Ahmed of Rs100,000 and cell phone in Shadbagh police precincts.
