MIRPURKHAS, Aug 24: The association of fertiliser dealers decided to observe a strike on Monday in protest against taluka nazim of Hussain Bux Mari who, they alleged, had hijacked a trailer loaded with urea fertiliser.

Mirpurkhas Fertiliser Dealers Association President Jafar Shah and general secretary Mukhtiar told journalists on Sunday that Taluka Nazim Mumtaz Mari and his colleagues had forcibly stopped the trailer loaded with 900 bags of urea and hijacked it along with the driver.

They said that they had informed the DPO and DCO of Mirpurkhas and were trying to get a case lodged against the nazim and his accomplices. The driver had been made hostage at gunpoint, they said.—BoC
