KARACHI: Shot dead

KARACHI, Aug 16: A 32-year-old man was shot dead near Haqqani Chowk in the limits of the Mithadar police.

The police said the victim, identified as Amir Nabi, son of Nabi Ahmed, was associated with the printing industry and he was having tea at a restaurant when unknown attackers opened fire on him. They said the victim, a resident in the Frere police area, received three bullets and died on the spot.

Woman strangled

The body of a young woman was found lying at a desolate place near Suparco Chowk.

Sachal police said the burqa-clad victim, wearing green-coloured shalwar qamees, was in her early 20s. The body has been shifted to the Edhi morgue for identification.
