Police patrol canals

JHANG, August 15: Police personnel have started patrolling the canals and distributaries to stop the theft of canal water throughout the district.

Talking to this correspondent, Jhang DPO Mian Javed Islam said the drive had been launched at the orders of Punjab chief minister and he was determined to put an end to this offence.

He said the offenders would be dealt with sternly irrespective of their political or social status .
