Three kidnapped men released

KHAIRPUR, Aug 15: Three of the four men kidnapped from Karampur area Jacobabad district on Thursday, reached their homes on Friday.

DIG Sukkur, Basheer Ahmed Memon formed a police party comprising senior police officers who raided villages and nabbed some suspects on which kidnappers released Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Imran Abbasi and Abdul Malik Shaikh near Karampur bus stop. Police brought them to Khairpur.

However, their fourth companion Tanvir Brohi was still missing.

On Thursday, Khairpur police arrested some relatives of Tanvir Brohi but could not know his whereabouts.

RALLY: Members, Highways Employees Peoples Union Khairpur, took out a rally from the Labour Hall on Friday. Led by Qaimuddin Dahote, participants marched on main roads and later staged a demonstration outside the local press club. They called for the acceptance of their demands.

Qaimuddin, Zawar Mohib Ali, Mirjat, Mukhtiar Hussain and others demanded quota for heirs of deceased and retired employees.

They also demanded regularisation of contract employees and vowed to continue struggle till the acceptance of demands.
