RAWALPINDI, Aug 10: Over 10,000 security personnel have been called in to scout for any trouble in the city as 14 polling stations have been declared sensitive for the by-polls being held on Tuesday on a provincial assembly seat (PP-10), security sources said.

A senior police official said besides the police force, 10 platoons of Punjab Constabulary have also been called in to join the police to maintain law and order. He said extra police personnel would be deployed around the polling stations declared sensitive. A total of 109 polling stations have been set up for the by-election.

There are eleven candidates for the seat vacated by MNA Malik Ibrar Ahmed after the February 18 elections.
