MIRPURKHAS, Aug 10: Over 3,000 applications for arms licences have been submitted to the DCO, reflecting growing sense of fear and uncertainty in the wake of worsening law and order situation in the country.

According to a survey conducted by this correspondent, there is a growing trend among people to rely on themselves for protecting their dependents and property.

They try to use politicians’ and rulers’ influence to get arms licences. Sources in the DCO office said that over 3,000 applications were pending approval and they received dozens more on a daily basis.
