QUETTA, Aug 8: A meeting of the joint parliamentary group of the parties in the province’s coalition government would be held on Sunday to discuss the convening of a session of the Balochistan assembly for adopting a resolution to ask the president to seek vote of confidence.

Senior Minister Maulana Abdul Wasay told this correspondent from Islamabad on Friday night that Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani would preside over the meeting.

He said the Jamait Ulema Islam-F’s parliamentary group would meet on Saturday to discuss issues likely to be taken up in the joint meeting the following day.

When asked about the possible response of PML-Q members, Maulana Wasay said that the group no longer existed.
