Money Order plan

Published August 8, 2008

MULTAN, Aug 7: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday unveiled a plan to offer financial assistance to the poor through money orders.

Talking to media men at the local airport, the CM said the money order process was chosen to plug the loopholes to avoid chances of any mistake and to offer the assistance only to the genuine deserving people.

He said the process of formation of lists of the deserving would involve elected representatives of the people, however, these lists would be finalised after having been cross-checked by the DCOs.

He asked the media to highlight any mistake they notice during this process. -—APP
