LAHORE, Aug 6: A `proclaimed offender’ was arrested from the MPA hostels here on Wednesday.
Police said Anwar alias Annu was involved in the murder of the cousin of an MPA from Sialkot. He came there to meet the MPA and the Qila Gujjar Singh police on the information of another MPA arrested him.
REARRESTED: A terror suspect, Khalil Ahmed, who had fled from the police custody has been rearrested from Karachi.
According to police, Khalil was wanted in terrorism cases. He was arrested after a shootout with police but he fled from Services Hospital where he had been taken for medical examination and treatment.
A team led by Sub-Inspector Muhammad Arif rearrested the suspect from Karachi.
ARRESTED: The Harbanspura police claimed on Wednesday to have arrested Iftikhar alias Kharu and his accomplice, Luqman Masih, and recovered cash and valuables worth thousands of rupees and illegal weapons from them.
