SWABI, Aug 5: Three alleged car-lifters belonging to Lahore were arrested by the local police on Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway here on Tuesday.

Sources in the police department said that the car-lifters, Mohammad Ashraf, Mohammad Arshad and Sajjid Ali, stole a car (LRE 9360) from Lahore and were on their way to the tribal region.

The sources said that the local police was already informed by the Punjab police about the car.

LOOTED: Unidentified bandits looted the house of an overseas employee at Zaida village besides beating the inmates. The stolen items included cash, jewellery and other valuables.
