Lawyers boycott courts

QUETTA, July 31: Lawyers here boycotted court proceedings on Thursday and took out a procession in protest against delay in reinstatement of the deposed judges.

They marched from the district court to the press club and held a demonstration, demanding restoration of the pre-Nov 3 judiciary. They vowed to continue their struggle till the reinstatement of the deposed judges, including Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.

Addressing the protesters, Balochistan Bar Association president Amanullah Baloch criticised the government for launching a fresh military operation in Dera Bugti.
