Disabled cricketers win

KARACHI, July 30: Disabled Cricket Club thrashed New Faisal Cricket Club by eight wickets in the KCCA Zone-II ‘B’ Division League at the TMC Ground said a news release on Wednesday.

Danish Ahmed, whose right leg is affected by polio, smashed an unbeaten 55 with four sixes and Arif Richard, playing with a smaller leg, made 54 with five boundaries. Ajmal scored 48 with four fours.Openers Arif and Ajmal Abbasi gave Disabled Club a flying start of 127 runs as their team reached the required target of 207 in 34 overs for the loss of just two wickets.

Earlier, batting first, New Faisal Cricket Club comprising normal players, posted 206-7 in the allotted 40 overs. Hasnain Iqbal scored 37 while Mohammad Kalam took three for 49.—APP
