SHIKARPUR, July 30: Sindh Minister for Minorities’ Affairs Mohan Lal Kohistani met with notables of a minority community and heard their problems here on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that Pakistan People’s Party government was determined to provide basic amenities to people and redress their grievances. Special attention was being given to solution of problems faced by minority communities, he added.

He said that proposals relating to fixation of quota in jobs, security and preservation of religious places of minorities, financial assistance from Baitul Mal funds, construction of colonies for minorities in every district of Sindh and provision of educational facilities to minority students were being discussed, adding that PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah would soon announce those programmes.
