KHAIRPUR, July 29: Sindh Minister for Minorities Affairs Dr Mohan Lal has said that the Sindh government is keenly interested in recovering Mannu Bheel’s family and the government has sympathy with him.

He added that Mannu Bheel’s family was kidnapped when there was a dictatorship in the country.

He was speaking at a gathering of PPP workers, including minorities, at Jilani House here on Tuesday.

He disclosed that at the first meeting of the Sindh cabinet he had raised the issue of Mannu Bheel and requested the government to extend full help for the recovery of his family.

He said he had visited Gambat to get information about the encroachment on Ghunsala land. He said a committee had been constituted to tackle the issue.

Earlier, speaking at an open katchehry at Darbar Hall Khairpur, he directed the district administration to take steps to get removed the encroachments on religious places/temples of Hindus in Chondiko and save historical temples.

Minority people present at the gathering complained to the minister that Bait-ul Maal funds were misappropriated and they were being ignored in distribution of these funds.

The minister directed that at least 1,000 forms be issued to deserving people among minorities for the Baitul Maal funds in district Khairpur.
