QUETTA, May 5: An aged woman and a nine-year-old boy were burnt alive, when a truck carrying a nomad family caught fire near Bakhtiarabad, some 220km from here on the Quetta-Sukkur highway, on Sunday.

The truck driver received serious burn injuries and was shifted to Sibi hospital.

Police sources said, a nomad family was shifting to Quetta due to hot weather in Dera Murad Jamali.

When the truck reached the Bakhtiarabad area it caught fire.

Most of the people aboard the truck succeeded in saving their lives but the woman and the boy could not come down and they lost their lives.
