Three-day mango festival begins

MULTAN, July 25: Provincial Agriculture Minister Ahmed Ali Olakh inaugurated a three-day international mango festival here on Friday.

Aside from ambassadors of Italy, Philippines, Brazil, South Korea and Afghanistan, City District Nazim Mian Faisal Mukhtar and DCO Fazeel Asghar were also present.

A total of 14 stalls of mango were established by the Mango Research Station (Shujaabad), the Zahid Hussain Gardezi Farm, the Malik Fahim Gardezi Mango Farm, the Mazhar Hussain Shah Mango Farm, the Azhar Kamlana Fruit Farm, the Faiz Aam Nursery, the Habibur Rehman Fruit Farm and the Malik Hamza Hassan Fruit Farm, Muzaffargarh.

The pesticide stalls for mango orchids, stalls of handicraft, blue pottery and kashi gari were also set up.

Besides, an exhibition of painting of historical places of Rome and Multan was also held.
