KARACHI, July 24: Country’s top amateur golfers will be seen in action in the second edition of Sindh Governor’s Cup which is scheduled to be staged at the DHA Golf Club on August 23-24, Secretary Sindh Golf Association (SGA) Asad I.A.Khan announced on Thursday.

“We successfully launched this event last year and it is on the calendar of Pakistan Golf Federation,” the SGA Secretary said. “We are expecting more than 100 entries from all top amateur golfers of the country,” he added.

The main amateur event, spread over two days, will be played over 36-holes while seniors, juniors and ladies events will be played over 18 holes and veterans will feature in 9-hole contest.

Asad said SGA holds their events — Sindh Open, Governor’s Cup and Sindh Amateur Golf — on rotation basis at three clubs of the city, namely Karachi Golf, Arabian Sea Country Club and DHA Club.—APP
