Second ITF Jr ranking tournament

LAHORE, Oct 6: The second ITF Junior Ranking Tennis tournament will be played here from Oct 8-14 at Punjab Lawn Tennis Association(PLTA) Bagh-e-Jinnah grass courts.

In all 52 boys and girls players will be participating in the tournament which will help home players to gain and establish world junior ranking in the absence of foreign players who have opted out of the event in view of recent situation in the region.

About 40 boys and 12 girls will be contesting in the boys singles, doubles, girls singles and doubles competitions.

The ITF has given go ahead for the tournaments despite the fact that foreign players are not taking parts in these events.—APP
