Four injured in grenade attack

KOHAT, July 19: Four people, including a nine-year-old vendor, were injured in a grenade attack on the Garrison cinema owned by army on Saturday night.

Doctors said the condition of injured was out of danger.

Police after preliminary investigation said the blast had been caused by a hand-grenade. The injured—Noor Badshah, Karim, Sikandar, who sells sweets in the cinema, and Khalid, a post office employee—were admitted to the KDA divisional headquarters hospital. Military and police cordoned off the area and security was tightened in the city after the incident.

Security forces arrested a suspect belonging to Kurram Agency soon after the blast and handed him over to the Cantonment police.
