LAHORE, July 18: Mills in the city district will supply 35,000 flour bags for sale to 5,000 dealers in the provincial metropolis daily from Saturday (today).

Punjab Food Minister Malik Nadeem Kamran said this after presiding over a meeting held here on Friday to evolve a strategy to ensure free availability of flour at retail price of Rs375 per 20kg bag.

The minister said that flour mills would provide 35,000 flour bags to 5,000 dealers and 10,000 bags at 20 special sale points.

He said 500 bags would be available at every sale point daily. Flour mills in Sheikhupura would transport 5,000 bags at the Jinnah Hall daily for dispatch to the areas where shortage was reported.
