KARACHI, July 18: Five ships carrying containers, palm oil, diesel oil and chemicals were berthed on during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, another vessel with edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Nine ships, CMA CGM Puget, CMA CGM Nilgai, Loe Princess, Ocean Trader, Tian Jin, Cypress Galaxy, World Dynasty, AI-Salam-II and Kaghan, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat, project cargo, chemicals, palm oil and diesel oil.

A cargo volume of 95,894 tons comprising 80,928 tons of import and 14,966 tons of export tonnage was handled. Asia Star and Kaghan sailed out while CMA CGM Puget, CMA CGM Nilgai and AI-Salam-II were due to depart.
