Thief held with precious items

LAHORE, July 16: Model Town division police claimed on Wednesday to have arrested a thief and seized ornaments and two motorcycles worth Rs1.2 million from his possession. According to a handout, a special team, comprising investigation in-charge and other officials, was constituted on the direction of SP (investigation) Rai Ijaz Ahmed that arrested the culprit on a tip-off.

The modus operandi of accused Abdul Razzak was that he would get the job for his son Ali Raza in different houses and later he would steal precious items from there.

They said cases had also been traced against the culprit in Garhi Shahu, Model Town and Nasirabad police stations. A special team has also been constituted to arrest the son of the accused.

The police recovered five sets of jewellery, two gold bangles, three diamond rings, one bracelet, one gold chain and two motorcycles from his possession.
