KARACHI, July 16: Six ships carrying DAP fertiliser, rock phosphate and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where nine ships, Lucky Arrow, Fu Ning Hai, Buxlagoon, Oel Transworld, APL Cairo and Sima Sahba to unload and load containers, Cec Concord and B.B.C Spain to unload and load general cargo and Aquamarine-1, an oil tanker, were berthed.

Sailing was also active as nine ships, King Brian, Mol Admiration, Harmony, Far Singapore, Red Sea Spirit, Sin Chou, Hearty Falcon, Ioannis–K and Bengal Orchid departed on Tuesday, while Sima Sahba, Buxlagoon, Chi Feng Kou, B.B.C. Spain, Cec Concord and Lucky Arrow are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the higher side where a total tonnage of 142,000 tons comprising 43,840 tons of export cargo and 98,149 tons of import tonnage was handled on Wednesday.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Hinjin Qingdao, Kota Puri and Orient Stride with containers, Smarty to unload 33,000 tons of DAP fertiliser, Nordana with 14,700 tons of phosphate and Laftah with general cargo.
