ISLAMABAD, July 14: Two persons were killed in a road accident here on Monday, police said.

Nazak Hussain and Mohammad Asif, riding a mini-truck loaded with chickens, were coming to Rawalpindi when their vehicle ploughed into another truck near Motorway Chowk presumably due to speeding.

Both occupants suffered fatal injuries and died on the spot. The bodies were shifted to a hospital and after fulfilling legal formalities handed over to the victims’ families.

Meanwhile, four armed men entered Anjum Iqbal’s house, located in Street 19, Sector G-10, and held the inmates at gunpoint, the police said.

The robbers made off with cash, including foreign currency, and other valuables worth Rs500,000.
