BADIN, July 11: The son of an ASI Investigation Police has appealed to authorities for safe return of his father, implicated in a case.

Mohammad Ameen s/o ASI Investigation Police Tando Bago, Mohammad Hashim Sehto had appealed for safe return of his father implicated in Kamran Tessori case.

He told Dawn on Friday that his father, on June 18, in a telephonic conversation informed the family of proceeding to Karachi on an official errand with the assurance to return home the same night.

The family according to the television news between the night of June 18 and 19 came to know that Kamran Tessori had escaped from police custody and ASI Mohammad Hashim along with three other police constables arrested by Karachi police, he said.

The three constables were present at Tando Bago police station the next day but when asked about his father Mohammad Hashim’s whereabouts, police said that a case had been registered against him for Kamran Tessori’s escape, he said.

“Different stories are trickling down about the case but nothing sure is said about my father,” he said adding “my mother is suffering from different health ailments like the Hepatitis-C. My father’s disappearance has further disturbed her and my siblings.”

He complained that his father was not produced before any court of law as yet and his life was in danger as he may have been enduring mental and physical torture.

He appealed to the government to produce his father and save his life and let the family know where he was being kept.

It may be recalled that a gold trader Kamran Tessori was taken to a court on June 18 for remand when he fled from the police custody. ASI Mohammad Hashim Sehto was escorting the accused in police van when Kamran with the help of some people made good his escape from the jurisdiction of Tando Bago police station.

On the complaint of Sepoy, Aslam Mallah an FIR was registered under various sections of law against Mohammad Hashim and eight other people.

DPO Badin, Fida Hussain Mastoi constituted a team headed by SPO Abdul Khaliq Thatiyal and another led by CIA Inspector Fareed Jatt but no clue had been found as yet.

SP Investigation Nazeer Abro when contacted said that police still could not recover the accused and showed ignorance on the whereabouts of Hashim Sehto.
