UC nazim, son gunned down

FAISALABAD, July 9: Criminals gunned down a union council nazim and his son in Khurrianwala on Wednesday.

Union Council 33 Nazim Arshad of Chak 205-RB, Mahloana, and his son Adnan were on their way home when two unidentified men opened fire at them in Chak 206-RB. Both men died at the scene and their murderers fled.

Arshad was an active worker of the Pakistan People’s Party. He contested election in PP-43 on the PPP ticket a couple of years ago.

No case had been registered till filing of this report on Wednesday evening. — Staff Correspondent
