KARACHI, July 3: After undergoing extensive training at a month-long camp in Karachi, the Under-16 girls’ netball team comprising 14 players, selected earlier by the Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) from various Karachi schools through local inter-school competitions, leaves for Australia on Friday (today) to take part in the July 6 to 11 Southern Skies Tournament in Brisbane.

According to Mudassar Arain, PNF’s secretary-general, the girls face a hectic schedule at the event. They play their first match against New Zealand’s St Kentigern College on July 7 at 10.15am followed by three other encounters the same day -- with Moreton Bay College (Australia) at 11.45am, St Andrew School for Girls (South Africa) at 1.15pm and All Hallows School (Queensland, Australia) at 3.45pm.

The team along with their manager Mrs Karbalhi will also be accompanied by their coach Maqbool Ahmed and assistant coach Uzma Kiran.

Neena Zehri, Mariya, Fatima Sultan, Ghunwa, Unaiza Ali, Shumaila Zehri, Sana Afzal, Kanza, Sheeza Nadir, Monaza and Afreen Waqar.
