ACC seminar tomorrow

KARACHI, July 3: The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) will hold a seminar here on Saturday to celebrate its Silver Jubilee year.

The theme is to celebrate Asia’s on and off the field achievements in the past 25 years and to look ahead to the next 25 years.

ACC President Arjuna Ranatunga, a former Sri Lankan Test captain, will lead the topic on “History of the Organisation” while Pakistan’s former fast bowler and skipper Wasim Akram will also deliver a key note on the topic.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Dr Nasim Ashraf will lead the topic of “The Impact of Asian Cricket on the Cricket World” and the key note speaker will be Kumar Sangakara, the prolific Sri Lankan opener.

“Future, The Commercial Centre of Cricket; T20 Scenario” will be led by BCCI’s president-designate, Shashank Manohar and the key note speaker will be England and Wales Cricket Board Chairman, Giles Clarke.
