HYDERABAD, June 30: The body of an army soldier, Ghulam Abbas Rind, who had been killed in a suicide attack in Swat, was laid to rest at the Ghazi graveyard Chambar in district Tando Allahyar on Monday.

Army personnel and a large number of people attended his funeral. He was buried with full military honours.

His body was received at the Hyderabad Garrison and transported to his native village.

Three vehicles of army personnel accompanied the body and before burial, he was given a salute of honour.

Ghulam Abbas joined the army two years ago and after training he was posted in Swat.
