GUJAR KHAN, June 29: MNA-elect of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Capt Safdar said dictatorial forces would ultimately be defeated and democratic rule would return to the country.

Speaking at a reception given in his honour in Gujar Khan city, the PML-N leader said: “The Potohar region has become the fort of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and its people deserve highest honours as they showed solidarity with Nawaz Sharif during the general and the by-elections.”

Capt Safdar said President Pervez Musharraf would be made accountable for the excesses committed against Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa students in Islamabad.

He said President Musharraf would be taken to the court for violating the constitution and taking extra-constitutional steps.

The PML-N leader said his party was committed to reinstating the deposed judges.
