Four shot dead in clan feud

BAJAUR, May 3: Four people were killed and two others wounded here on Friday over a tribal feud.

According to details, five armed person — Ibrahim, Fazal Wahid Zageri, Moeenuddin and Zahir — entered the house of Abdur Rehman on Thursday night in Daak Qala near Khar, Bajaur agency headquarters, and shot dead Rehman and his brother Malang Khan.

The next morning (on Friday), when all the four killers came to the residence of Mr Rehman to offer condolence, deceased’s cousins Said Rehman and Gul opened fire on them with automatic weapons, and killed Ibrahim and Fazal Wahi on the spot. Zageri and Moeenuddin sustained bullet injuries.

The bodies of Ibrahim and Fazal were still lying in the area and no one came to collect them.

It is said that Ibrahim, assassin, had received Rs1.2 million from the enemies of Abdur Rehman for the murder.

Some relatives of Ibrahim contacted the tribal elders for the recovery of the bodies, but tribesmen were reluctant to hand over bodies to them.
