Judge killed in accident

QUETTA, June 25: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) judge was killed and three people were injured in a collision between a freight truck and a car near Sibi in Bolan district on Wednesday.

According to police, ATC judge for Sibi and Nasirabad Abdul Rauf Khilji was on his way to Nasirabad along with his staff in his official vehicle when the accident occurred in the Lamiji area.

The injured were identified as Nazzar Mohammad, Mohammad Hanif and Ziaur Rehman. They were later brought to Quetta after being treated in Sibi.

Mr Khilji’s body was also brought to Quetta. Police say they have arrested the truck driver, Muhammad Safdar.

The accident occurred because of overspeeding.—Staff Correspondent
