KARACHI, June 23: Customs officer Khalid Pervez was granted interim bail before arrest by the Sindh High Court on Monday.

He is required by the National Accountability Bureau for questioning in the customs rebate scandal. He said the main accused, including chairman Raja Zaraat Khan of the Bawan Shah Group of Companies and his own colleagues in the customs department have already been granted bail in the case.

Meanwhile, Justice Arshad Noor Khan adjourned the hearing of a land-grabbing case to a date in office. The case pertained to 30 acres of state land at Rozi Goth.
