Three officials held

LAHORE, June 22: Police arrested three officials of the Punjab Communications and Works Department for death of a minor who fell in an uncovered manhole.

Five-year-old Ahmed Mujaddid fell in the manhole in the Mohalanwal area on June 19 and died.

Police registered a case against officials under section 319 of the Pakistan Penal Code and arrested Executive Engineer Muhammad Sharif, Sub-Divisional Officer Liaqat Husain and Sub Engineer Wahaj Wadood Siddiqui. — Staff Reporter
