Balochistan budget tomorrow

Published June 20, 2008

QUETTA, June 19: The Balochistan budget for the financial year 2008-09 will be announced on June 21.

Provincial Finance Minister Mir Asim Kurd said on Thursday the government would try to present a “people-friendly budget”.

“We will make all efforts to provide maximum relief to the people of Balochistan.”

However, he added that despite financial problems the government would not announce any new tax.

He said the province badly needed more funds for its development programme.
