BATKHELA, June 18: Four CD shops were blown up in a local market on Wednesday, sources in the political administration said.

Some miscreants had planted explosives in the Burhan Market, which went off.

It is pertinent to mention that owners of CD shops and drug dealers had received anonymous letters asking them to shut down their ‘un-Islamic’ businesses. The Levies Force registered a case.

Meanwhile, a man, Shamsher Ali Khan, drowned in a canal here on Wednesday.

Sources said the body of woman, aged around 60, had also been recovered from the canal. She was buried in a local graveyard because her identity could not be ascertained.
