Rs1.5m on offer in Mind Games

KARACHI, June 14: Lucrative prize money of Rs1.5 million will be on offer in the inaugural Pakistan Mind Games to be held here from August 14 to 17, Chairman of the Mind Sports Association of Pakistan (MSAP) Khurshid Hadi said on Saturday.

Bridge, chess and scrabble events will be held in the Mind Games which are being contested on the occasion of Pakistan’s independence anniversary.

Tariq Rasheed Khan, who is on the board of directors of MSAP, said that around 200 people would take part in the bridge event, over 100 in chess and around 60 vie in the scrabble event.

He said the event would help in finalising Pakistan contingent for the World Mind Games to be held in Beijing, China, in October.—APP
