SAHIWAL, June 11: Two young men killed a 20-year-old girl late on Tuesday after her family refused to give her hand to their kin.

Bashir of 99/9-L village claimed Nazir of the same village occupied his seven acres land in Ghori Pal Scheme. Nazir denied the charge, but Bashir insisted he was right. However, Bashir found another way to settle the dispute. He asked Nazir to give her daughter Amina’s hand to his son Maqbool. Nazir refused outright. On Tuesday, Bashir’s son Saghir and his relative Ali Muhammad opened fire at Amina, killing her at the scene.—Correspondent
