DADU, June 8: Three policemen were suspended and five suspects were arrested on Sunday in the wake of Saturday’s killing of three members of Bhand community.

On the directives of Hyderabad range DIG Sanaullah Abbasi, Dadu DPO Manzoor Hussain Khatian suspended head constable Ali Khan Bhand and constables Sukhio Machhi and Saeed Khan Bhand for allegedly being involved in the killing of Abbas Ali, Hajan and Sarwar Bhand.

They were attacked near the excise office in Dadu by their rivals when they were going to a court to attend the hearing of a case. In the ensuing clash, they were shot dead.

The attack is said to be motivated by an old enmity between two groups of Bhand community members.

The Dadu police have registered a triple murder case against 10 accused. A heavy contingent of police raided Meenhoon Khan Bhand village and arrested Ghulam Mustafa, Nazeer, Raja, Saeed Khan and Wahab.
