HYDERABAD, June 5: Mannu Bheel, whose nine family members were kidnapped ten years ago allegedly by a feudal lord of Sanghar, Abdul Rehman Mari and his henchmen, went on a token hunger strike outside the Hyderabad press club here on Thursday for the recovery of his parents, wife and children.

The members of Mannu Bheel family who were kidnapped in 1998 included his father Khairo, who was then 60; his mother Akher, 60; brother Jalal 20; wife Bootan, 35; daughters Moomal, 9, and Dhaili 18 months; sons Chaman 7, and Kanji 5; and a guest Kartu Bheel, 45.The main accused Abdul Rehman Mari was released on bail by Sindh High Court Hyderabad circuit bench on Wednesday on grounds that he was suffering from hepatitis-C.

Mannu Bheel appealed to the Sindh High Court to cancel the bail of Abdul Rehman Mari because his family members will never be recovered if he was allowed to roam about freely.
