One selector to go with team

Published June 3, 2008

LAHORE, June 2: One selector will accompany the Bangladesh-bound Pakistan squad to monitor the players’ performance in the tri-nation limited-overs series to be held in Dhaka from June 8 to 14.

Sources said the PCB, which had earlier decided not to send any selector on the tour, has now reviewed the decision and most probably Shafqat Rana will go to Bangladesh.

Chairman of the PCB Dr Nasim Ashraf while allowing the selectors to go with the team justified his decision during an in-house meeting by pleading that the selectors must have first hand and direct information about the performance and attitude of the players
