FAISALABAD, June 2: An under-trial prisoner allegedly committed suicide in District Jail here on Monday.
Habib was wanted in various cases of heinous nature registered at different police stations.
Jail authorities said the prisoner had some mental problems. On Monday, he tightened the noose made by the string of his trouser around his neck and later hanged himself.
According to sources, the government has ordered an inquiry into the incident. The body has been sent for an autopsy, they added.
