KARACHI, May 31: Having won two races on the trot, four-year-old dark bay filly Bacaradi is tipped to complete a hat-trick should she land the supporting event in the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

She has emerged victorious on four out of five occasions in addition to securing a place once this season which is a true indicator of her performance.

The filly is drawn in a pack of half-a-dozen runners in the six furlongs sixth race of class VI and looks competent to get past the rivals by registering yet another win. Her likely challengers are chestnut Desert Hawk and mare Blind Date.

Three-year-old bay filly Claim To Fame looks poised to stretch her winning run by prevailing over opponents in the feature event, the class III, IV and V combined div I and II last race to be run over six furlongs.

She has emerged triumphant in all her three outings including the AKD Nursery Cup on Dec 25 last and the HFK Group of Company Cup on April 27.

The filly from the stables of Syed Sadruddin Shah, chairman, KRC, will be opposed by dark bay mare Spice Of Arab who won her last outing by three lengths.

Either colt Back In Action or filly Baby John who-so-ever is backed by connection, should land the top division race of class VII. The two are likely to be chased by bay Manan Prince.

Syed Ismail Shah’s three-year-old chestnut colt Bam Bamm who was placed twice seems to atone for the losses by finishing ahead of 12 contestants.

Bam Bamm should have to go all out to deny colt Star Of Galaxy a chance to make it three-in-a-row.

The two are likely to be followed by mare Princess Rozi.

Mare Make Millions which now belongs to the stables of Shah Mardan Shah Pir Pagara, if tried, may topple mare Eye Lady and bay Captain Cook by landing the opener. Nine-year-old bay Lucky gem and three-year-old filly Dilruba are fancied to claim second and third races.

Al Zarrar in the second and Persian Blue in the third can upset the applecart if given a fair run by the respective connections.

A card of seven races five to be run over five furlongs and two to six, have been drawn for the day. The first race starts at 2.00pm.
