Badminton workshop

Published May 31, 2008

LAHORE, May 30: A one-day badminton workshop will be held on June 1 in the ninth stage of the coaching programme at Muzaffargarh.

The workshop was earlier conducted by the Punjab Sports Board, which appointed its national coach Liaquat Ali for organising such programmes in small districts in order to promote the game there. As a result there have been badminton workshops in Kasur, Sialkot, Sahiwal, Gujrat, Attock, Jhelum, Khushab, Jhang and Pakpattan.

The one in Muzaffargarh, like the other workshops, will be attended by the sports teachers of schools as well as colleges. Lectures will be delivered on the duties of referees, umpires and judges during a match.—Sports Reporter
